Cubic zirconia (or CZ) is an inexpensive simulant of a diamond that looks very similar. In fact, some people have a tough time telling the difference between a well-cut CZ and a genuine diamond. Some CZ’s are made to look like a very large diamond, making it easy to distinguish between the real thing. You can find CZ’s most commonly in necklaces, earrings, and rings.
